Clara started in the graphic design field at the early age of six as Owner and CEO of “T-shirt World," a puffy paint T-shirt business. Years later, she received her MFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design, graduating with honors. Upon landing in Seattle, her exuberant style, multi-disciplinary approach and focus on creative story-telling has been put to good use, creating design and art direction for clients such as Zune, Nike, Microsoft, K2, HBO, Rossignol, and Electronic Arts. Looking for a change, she formed and ran her own graphic design firm, Highlighter, which specialized in identity and interactive design. Running a business turned out to be too much business, so Clara began working for Creature, directing and crafting story-driven design. During the last five years, her creative and design direction has helped reinvent coffee for Seattle's Best Coffee, revived 100 year old pants for Dickies Workwear, and creating a 50 year vision by reimagining the visitor experience at the Space Needle, among a slew of other design and advertising based projects. In addition to creative work, Clara leads and manages the design department at Creature. Her work has been featured in Communication Arts, Print Magazine, Under Consideration, Behance, Brand New, the FWA, Ad Week, Creativity Online, Computer Arts and AdAge and recognized by D&AD, Type Director’s Club, Webby Awards, Awwwards, Art Directors Club, Graphis and The One Show.
